Hythe Fly-In

Sunday 25 April 2004

Following the success (he laughed) of the Light up the Sky bash last year, the Kent kite Fliers invited us to the Hythe Fly in.

New feathers to show off - bought the day before in France
It was my idea of heaven - kites, a bit of a kip, only being disturbed by bacon sarnies.
So we all joined in that game as there wasn't a lot of wind to begin with.

But the wind picked up as the day went on.

Remembering the skill of "Team Spectrum", and some foolish boasts about how easy synchronised kite flying is, our very own "Team Laurel & Hardy" did some synchronised flying of their own, pausing only briefly to knot the kites together in a tangle excedding the expectations of even their stoutest supporters.
