Lark in the Park

Eastbourne - Sun 27 June

The day got off to a bad start when the site was invaded by killer lobsters from outer space (well, Brighton), but in a triumph of stupidity over common sense, we got the lobster back in the bag.
Following such a shock, sweatness had to have a sit down to calm her nerves.
As always we'd abandoned any attempt at using map reading to find the place in favour of looking for familiar landmarks, and here's what we were looking for.

However the wind was so strong that the ground anchor (Espace) had been dragged back about a foot, so it was probably best to put those toys away.

Penguin came down relatively easy......
But Teddy took some heaving. As you can see, he's not that small.....
If all else fails, there's always kite flying, we thought.

Here's my yellow super-10 wrapped round the tail of Batty's rainbow super-10.

Simon suggested we got the doughnut out. Bearing in mind the damage we did to it last time, I was a bit dubious, but look - it's easy.
Being a webmaster is great - you get to doctor the photos to show yourself in the best light possible. here's the above photo from a different angle showing the help I had to hold that doughnut - and the line goes back to be tied to a car.
Oh we laughed as the wind picked up.
Oh Brian laughed as the wind picked HIM up

All things considered, a good day out - made possible by the use of fat boy ™ technology
