Hayward's Heath Rugby Club Fete

An early start for the Ashford contingent. Having travelled for over an hour through three counties, the tone of the day was set by the nice man on the gate. On asking where are the kite fliers we were told "miles away - they've lost one!"

Manta survived the ordeal, and quite enjoyed flying for over a mile on his own.

At first the weather seemed against us - if all else fails, Emergency Plan B is always a useful fallback position. Fortunately (or not, depending on your outlook) the rain soon stopped, and we were able to fly some more.
We were actually billed as "an attraction" at the fete.

You can see how some of "The Normal People" mistook our WebMaster's attempts at kite flying for the dog training demonstrations.

Other people were luckier with their wind (!) and managed to get quite muddy.
