Telscombe Carnival Weekend

10 -11 September 2005

Telscombe Carnival Weekend was quite a laugh last year, so we thought we'd give it another go !! Arriving in Peacehaven at 6pm gave us all time to upset the nice man in the chip shop before wandering up to see the fireworks, which were quite spectacular.

We all "ooooo-ed" in wonder at the pyrotechnic spectacle. Some of us did make other utterences of appreciation, but it transpired that not everyone had been practicing their "ar-s". A lot of very good photos were taken of the fireworks, but seeing as our WebMaster had abandoned photography in favour of three bottles of "Old Peculier", you'll just have to take our work that they were pretty. Or come along to one of the firework events being planned for later this year !!

Following the fireworks it was all back to "Mine Host" for drinking to excess, chilled liquers & "breen fraize" (hic) and death jenga until 1.30 am.
Waking to the lovely smell of a full english breakfast, and greeting the world with a war cry of an earth-shattering fart and "Here comes Badger !!" . Brekky was soon scoffed, and off to the Tye we went.

I am holding this for a friend !!

New kites were bought all round, but it had to be admitted the wind WAS on the strong side

So strong in fact that as well as a Flexifoil bullet being (for the second year running) a bad move, some of us had a result with the nice first aid man.

When I nod my head, you hit it !
And then some stakes were hammered in to fly the big toys.....
